• Our projects are planned, managed, and run by refugees themselves. It is a reason for pride and empowerment for them.

• Our school teachers are Rohingya themselves, who live inside the refugee camps, and inside the villages of Burma. They are former teachers in Myanmar and are survivors of the last waves of massacres of Rohingya Muslims.

• Our teams run 3 vocational training centers for Rohingya women inside the refugee camps. Women learn how to do traditional sewing for a year, after which they are awarded a hand-sewing machine each so that they can earn a living with dignity. All our past graduates have life-changing stories to share.

Our administrative work is run by a small team of dedicated volunteers in Canada, who do not only put time into fundraising, accounting, tax keeping, creating reports, and publicizing our efforts but also put their own money to cover remittance fees, banking costs, transaction fees that a donor would pay on this website, etc. Hence, 100% of donor funds go to the needy on the grounds in Bangladesh and Burma.

• Our financial statements are public, so you can see where money is coming from and where exactly it is being spent. We are able to issue tax receipts for all your contributions. Rohingya Children's Projects is a registered charity in Canada. We have been working for nearly 10 years on long-term education and vocational training projects in the Rohingya refugee camps in Bangladesh and in the villages of Arakan in Burma.
