Bring the Quran back into your life with QuranReflect, the world’s first a social network for encouraging and facilitating Qur'anic reflections.

QuranReflect.com is now Live! - Check the Updates tab above for more info. Sign up here to read, interact, follow, reflect and contribute to Quranic reflections content.

Bring the Quran back into your life with QuranReflect, the world’s first social network for encouraging and facilitating Quranic reflections.  Help us revolutionize the way people interact with the Quran by becoming one of our first supporters!

Connect with what Matters

“We are more connected than ever, yet we are disconnected from what matters”

We spend hours on social media glued to our smartphone screens oftentimes at the expense of reading and internalizing the lessons of the Quran. 74% of Facebook users, 63% of Snapchat users, and 62% of Instagram users visit these platforms on a daily basis, with the majority multiple times a day.

We know that we should turn to the Quran to find comfort, inspiration, and to cope with life, but in today's fast-paced, distracted induced way of life, rarely does this happen. QuranReflect gives you the opportunity to reconnect with the Quran
without having to leave your screen.

Evolution of Quranic Interactions

While the times have changed, the way we interact with the Quran has not. We have the internet, smartphones, and hundreds of apps, but the Quran remains a book that sits on the shelf. We don’t need to party like it’s 632, it is time for a social network that brings the Quran to everyone.

QuranReflect: The Next Frontier

Make the Quran Relevant Again. See reflections on current topics live. Search hashtags and see what verses and reflection were written about these topics.

Experience the Quran Together. Create Groups where you and your family, halaqa, classroom, or friends can discuss passages from the Quran

Follow, comment, and interact with other people who are on the journey of getting closer to the Quran

Anyone, Anywhere. Most of the commentary on the Quran is written by scholars who have years of traditional Islamic studies. Whether you are a scholar, economist, student, doctor, bus driver, etc, your life experience and knowledge shape how you interpret the Quran. With QuranReflect, everyone’s reflections count and everyone’s reflections matter.

Permanent Home for Your Reflections. Some people share their reflections on the Quran via Facebook and other social media platforms, but these posts disappear quickly and are not easily found later. With QuranRefect, any reflection made on a verse is always connected to that verse, and reflections on verses can even be viewed by popularity.

What we have done thus far:

We created a website prototype which we shared with some content creators who are writing their Quranic reflections. Alhamdulillah, they love the application and are continuing to post on QuranReflect.

We have partnered with some of the best content creators in the world, including (click their pictures to see their profiles):

We are also working on creating partnerships with Islamic Institutions who are working in the Quran space.

We Need Your Help to Complete This Project

We have invested hundreds of hours to get QuranReflect to the point it is now. From hiring engineers to connecting with North America’s most prominent Islamic scholars, we know that QuranReflect has the potential to completely change the way people interact with the Quran. Whether you are new to the religion and have just started on this journey, or you have run Quranic study circles, QuranReflect will have something to offer you.

We have built a working prototype of the web application, but need your help to bring this to production.  We also need your help to build the mobile applications.

With your help and support, we can see this idea through.

Together we can make this happen.

Together we can revolutionize the way Muslims interact with the Quran.

Timeline:

Feature List for Beta

  • Easy-to-use editing & publishing tools. Write your reflections, and save them for private reference, or share them in a private group or publicly.
  • Reference and cross-reference Quranic chapters, verses and hashtags in your reflection.

  • Read and interact with public reflections.

  • Follow your favorite authors and scholars

  • Powerful search: Find reflections by chapters, verse number or range, verse text, authors, and hashtags instantly.

  • Groups: Private spaces for your family, school club, or study circle/halaqa.

  • Pages: Collaborate as an organization privately or share your thought leadership publicly under a unique subdomain such as qalam.quranreflect.com

What the future brings

Our vision in QuranReflect is to create a culture of reflection upon the Quran. Using the latest technology tools, we want to make reflecting on the Quran a core part of our lives, just as Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram have become such an integral part of our lives.

Here is our plan for the near future:

  • Open API Integration: where any application developer can integrate QuranReflect into their app. This will allow people to add reflections posted to QuranReflect into any Quran application. We love the Quranic apps that are already out there, and we want to make them even better.
  • Data analysis: Let's make our scholars data driven like every other industry, by sharing with them stats on what people read most, least, talk about…etc.
  • Machine learning and AI: We want to make QuranReflect a place where the user can get lost in the content of valuable reflections by personalizing each user's experience. When a user is reading about a certain emotion/topic, the "machine" can recommend relevant reflections.

QuranReflect Update #GivingTuesday

Assalamu Alaikum our dear supporters!

We'd love to update and inform you all QuranReflect’s latest progress.

We have been spending the past few months improving and revamping our site’s visuals and functionality to make the experience of writing and sharing reflections more accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Some of the improvements made include:

  • Adding a @mention feature, so that you can tag your friends in your favorite post, and also give credit to your teachers and colleagues when quoting them in your reflections. See an example here.

  • Sharing posts seamlessly on Facebook, Twitter, and WhatsApp. Try it by clicking the “share” button under any post from which you’d like others to benefit. We will be sharing one reflections on our Facebook page. Keep a lookout, the next one might be yours!

  • Adding a notifications tab to keep track of all of your post engagements in one place. Email and on-site notifications may also be toggled in the profile settings.

  • Adding "Save Post" feature so you can develop a searchable database of your favorite posts.

  • Various visual and user experience improvements to the website interface.

  • Switching the English translation to Dr. Mustafa Khattab's The Clear Quran.

  • Starting the development of Android and iOS apps

See how one user is using these features to compile a collection of all of the authentic hadiths that relate to or explain the Quran

See how a website about the 99 names of Allah is using QuranReflect page feature to share commentary on the names of Allah that are mentioned in the Quran.

We hope that these features, along with the already existing powerful search, dynamic post entry, and other user engagement tools will facilitate making your time on QuranReflect more fruitful and conducive to learning. We are still developing more improvements to come, such as a more aesthetic PDF export, a “Reflect Mode,” and other tools to help you read, reflect, and make an unprecedented impact on the ummah. A notable change is the implementation of The Clear Quran translation by Dr. Mustafa Khattab as our default English translation. This is super exciting because of how readable and accessible this translation is compared to others!

So now that QuranReflect is ready for primetime, we encourage you to sign up, read, interact, reflect, and contribute to the fastest growing database of Quranic knowledge in the world!

We believe that growth is a never-ending endeavor, so please share your feedback with us about the platform. Now is the time to make meaningful contributions by providing us with your insight and perspective. We appreciate any and all feedback, so please don’t be shy.

Lastly, We've reactivated our campaign and increased our goal by $5,000. Can we count on your contributions on #GivingTuesday? LaunchGood is rewarding the most effective campaigns. Any amount will take us a long way.

Thank you all for your contributions. As you can see, they have had a significant impact on the growth of QuranReflect since last Ramadan.

May Allah reward you all beyond your expectations,

Jazakum Allah Khair from QuranReflect

Assalamu Alaikum wa ramhamtu Allahi wa barakatuh,

Alhamdullelah hamdan katheeran, by the grace of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala followed by your generosity, QuranReflect has successfully achieved the launchgood crowdfunding goal.

This will insha'Allah enable us to make great advancements including:

1. QuranReflect Mobile App

2. 3rd party app integrations

3. Improve User Experience

4. Build user preferences and notification features

5. Improve and polish core features that are currently in our open beta

6. Develop the detailed plan for the next phase and scalability

7. Expand the team of employees and volunteers

So Jazakum Allah Khair / May Allah reward you immensely for your support, and for believing in our transformative (insha'Allah) platform. We know that it's not easy to be an early supporter when there isn't much to show for, however, Allah swt highlights how the reward for those who strive early on is not equal to the reward of those who strive later on:

وما لكم ألا تنفقوا في سبيل الله ولله ميراث السماوات والأرض لا يستوي منكم من أنفق من قبل الفتح وقاتل أولئك أعظم درجة من الذين أنفقوا من بعد وقاتلوا وكلا وعد الله الحسنى والله بما تعملون خبير. الحديد١٠

“And why do you not spend in the cause of Allah while to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Not equal among you are those who spent before the conquest [of Makkah] and fought [and those who did so after it]. Those are greater in degree than they who spent afterwards and fought. But to all Allah has promised the best [reward]. And Allah, with what you do, is Acquainted.”[Hadeed 57:10]

Please sign up here if you haven’t done so already, and start making full use of the platform for your studies and da’wah. We hope that our relationship doesn't end here, that you will find personal and community value in using QuranReflect, that you always reach out to us if you have feedback, suggestions, or concerns.

Lastly, part of our team was in Umrah in the last ten days of Ramadan and they dedicated special dua to everyone who supported us financially or otherwise :)

Jazakum Allah Khair,

QuranReflect Team.
