A Quranic Social Platform Ready for 🚀

Building on our previous successful launchgood campaign, and what you enabled us to achieve, we are back and we seek your support again to fuel the next phase of QuranReflect. Read on for an update on our progress and what’s next!

What is QuranReflect?

QuranReflect is an online platform that aims to “Cultivate a Culture of Reflection upon The Holy Quran”. It’s an ambitious project determined to reduce the friction and disconnection people have with the Quran, and create a meaningful connection. We believe one of the fundamental problems facing our ummah is the abandonment of the Quran. This problem is explained in no better way than the words of Allah, on behalf of Prophet Mohammed ﷺ  

The Messenger has cried, “O my Lord! My people have indeed received this Quran with neglect.”

To restore the ummah’s connection with the Quran, we believe that we need to serve the Quran into people’s contemporary lifestyles around digital content services, social media platforms, and hyper-personalization. We use technology to give people the tools to encourage reflections upon the Quran and the platform to share these reflections.

We spend hours on social media glued to our smartphone screens oftentimes at the expense of reading and internalizing the lessons of the Quran. 74% of Facebook users, 63% of Snapchat users, and 62% of Instagram users visit these platforms on a daily basis, with the majority multiple times a day.

We know that we should turn to the Quran to find comfort, inspiration, and to cope with life, but in today's fast-paced distracting world, this rarely happens. QuranReflect gives you the opportunity to reconnect with the Quran without having to leave your screen.

How will QuranReflect help?

QuranReflect is like Social Media (think FB, IG, or twitter) meets Crowdsourcing (think Wikipedia or Quora) in service of the Quran.

QuranReflect is a social platform that surfaces the most relevant content, through common online experiences, influencers, and integration with mainstream Apps and Technologies. Our goal is to reach out to Muslims globally and even extend to non-muslims, to experience the beauty and relevance of the Quran.

• Tag your posts - Reference and cross-reference suras, ayat and topics in your posts
• Reflections feed - Read and interact with public posts – narrow down by selected reference (ayah, topic..etc.)

• Powerful search - Surah and Ayahs by name or #, ayahs by text, #topics, @authors & advanced options
• Pages / Groups - Private spaces for group study for your family, students, circles or org.

• QuranReflect is a full-featured live web platform being used by thousands of users between contributors and viewers and has accumulated 2500+ Quranic Reflections.

• QuranReflect is now available in the App Store for iPhone and iPad users

• Our APIs are available for Quran Apps integration with QuranMemorizer being our first partner

What is next for QuranReflect?

We are raising funds this Ramadan to achieve the following in 2020:

• Mobile Apps: QuranReflect is out now on iPhone, and the next stop is to release the Android app on Google Play, then we will work to continously improve both apps.

• More ways to use QuranReflect: We are working hard on making the QuranReflect experience a seamless part of your Quran reading routine. Beyond the QuranReflect apps, soon you will be able to share and read reflections from within a variety of Quran apps that we are partnering with. This requires continuous engineering work to execute.
  

• Community Building: With the core technology ready, we will start growing the QuranReflect community and expanding our reach so that more people can benefit from the platform. To achieve this we need to invest into hiring content and community managers.

• Partnerships: Another area of focus in 2020 is to partner with and engage more organizations and scholars - creating valuable content and a quality cushion as we build a community and culture around Quranic reflections.
