In light of the ongoing genocide in Palestine, MSA West is taking immediate action to support the courageous efforts of students across the nation who are organizing solidarity encampments on their campuses. We firmly believe that it is our duty, as Muslims, to stand firm for justice and support our brothers and sisters in their pursuit of freedom and dignity.

The Students’ Demands Are Clear: DISCLOSE - DIVEST - DEFEND GAZA

University administrations must disclose all investments related to the occupation, apartheid, and genocide of Palestine. They must divest from organizations supporting the occupation and sever ties with Israeli collaborations. Additionally, universities must provide amnesty for all protestors and end repression.

Immediate Financial Support for Campus Encampments

MSA West stands in solidarity with campus efforts and is working closely with local campuses and campaign organizers to mobilize and sustain the encampments until demands are met. We have witnessed students facing violent attacks by mobs and law enforcement, severe repression and harassment, and ongoing efforts to silence and intimidate them. And yet, they have remained steadfast and organized in their demands and commitment to liberate Palestine. We urgently call on our alumni and community to support the organizers on the ground.

How You Can Help: Donate to Support West Coast Campus Encampments

Your donation will enable MSA West to directly support the students on the ground by deploying resources to:

• Purchase essential supplies and meals for encampments.
• Provide students with resources for needs such as legal or media support.
• Provide safety and security support to the student organizers.
• Respond to urgent crises and incidents, including coordination of key stakeholders and partners.
• Amplify student needs including calls to actions and resource requests.
• Mobilize community on demand to protect and support students and update community members on developments on the ground.

We have heard the calls to mobilize from the people in Gaza. Our collective efforts are essential in this moment. Your generosity will continue to sustain our college students who are advocating for the liberation of our brothers and sisters in Palestine.

Funds raised from this campaign will directly support the student organizing efforts on campuses by providing funding and urgent needs such as security, as well as rapid response staffing to appropriately respond to the needs on the ground. Any additional funds not used in crisis response work will go towards supporting Muslim students in the long-term, as much support will be needed.
