UPDATE: Thank you all for supporting The Palestine Youth Orchestra PYO. We reached our main goal of $11,500 and now we had to extend our goal to $15,000 due to some additional unexpected expenses. The PYO had to leave on Friday instead of Saturday due to a border closure for Hajj. This early leave has resulted in paying the cost of staying a night in Amman before leaving on Saturday. The Edward Said National Conservatory of Music 

The Edward Said National Conservatory of Music was founded in 1993, under the wing of Birzeit University’s board of trustees in response to the need of a structure to support Music and the Music Education in Palestine. 

Our role as the biggest cultural organization operating in Palestine with six branches is to promote the Palestinian culture and cultural identity inside and outside Palestine. We work on promoting music and culture to every Palestinian house. We also work to promote the creativity of the professional young Palestinian artists worldwide, especially the Palestine youth orchestra which is one of our major achievements and success. The tours in Europe are very expensive and it is very hard for one organization to cover all these expenses. We look for partners and friends who believe in this mission to help us achieve our goals and present the Orchestra in the best way possible. Besides, we seek to connect with Palestinian and Arab communities all over the world and support their engagement in the social and cultural activities in Palestine.

The Palestine Youth Orchestra

The Palestine Youth Orchestra (PYO)

was created in 2004 by the ESNCM with the vision of bringing together young Palestinian musicians from around the world. The orchestra can rightly claim today that it is a quality national youth orchestra on a par with similar ensembles worldwide. Over the past ten years, it has performed in Palestine, Germany, France, Jordan, Syria, Bahrain, Lebanon, Greece and Italy. The PYO comprises around eighty young musicians of Palestinian origin residing around the world.

How to get involved?

The Palestinian engagement and support help in achieving the national goals and aspirations away from influence and agendas of the donors. Therefore, we focus on getting donations from individuals like you. Also, if you are an owner of a restaurant in the one of the cities we will visit we would love if you host us for lunch or dinner, this way, you will help us minimize our costs.
