For years, Dr. Ashwaq Muharram worked for international aid organizations in Yemen but most of them left when the fighting began in 2015 (AH 1436) and those that remain have drastically curtailed their activities.
Dr. Ashwaq Muharram now distributes medicine and food out of her own pocket using her car as a mobile clinic in the villages surrounding Al Hudaydah, where people have been hit with starvation the hardest.
