Our city of Calgary, has great community volunteers, servants and leaders that do their best to assist Muslims and the greater community alike, however, more skill and capacity could be brought to bear by sending an individual to Ta'leef Collective in Fremont, California for their Refining the Core program. Want more information about the program, watch this.
I, Christopher Venus am asking you to consider supporting my efforts to attend Ta'leef's Refining the Core program, by funding the $2500 USD tuition, travel and lodging that would be needed to attend. I desire to attend the Autumn week-long session in late September 2019.
Well what can I say, I am a committed individual who seeks knowledge at every opportunity and wishes to apply whatever I learn by serving the community whole-heartedly. I have a track record of serving New Muslims, born-Muslims, and seekers of knowledge for the past 6 years, combined with groups like Western Muslim Initiative and currently with New Muslim Circle Calgary.
Alhamdulillah, after a successful campaign last year to raise funds for book bags, packed full of great Islamic knowledge for New Muslims, born-Muslims renewing faith and those seeking I have handed out one third of the 80-some bags assembled. I also do whatever I can to hold learning circles, with the guidance and help from local and trusted teachers and imams. This continues in the form of offering meet-ups to discuss topics and opportunities to learn from he the book "Being Muslim: A Practical Guide" by Asad Tarsin.

I’m on my way to Ta’leef Academy
Salam alaykum to you and your beloved,
I write this as I sit at the gate to board by plane to San Francisco. I will be attending the Ta’leef Academy from Monday, October 27 to Sunday, November 3.
