This campaign will collect all funds raised by February 28, 2017 at 5:00 AM EDT
We are holding an Islamic devotional arts show July 8th and 9th at the Diyanet Center of America in Lanham, Maryland. This show will help to bring people together through these devotional arts, i.e. Islamic Music, Islamic Comedy, and Islamic Spoken Word. We will also have numerous shuyukh in attendance that will be giving words of wisdom and advice. Our hope is to build community over the weekend of the event bringing people together for the show in sha Allah.
The Story
There has not been a devotional arts show and conference like this previously. Other events may have one or two performers while we have many more and will fill the second day of the event with devotional arts. It is important to bring people together through good means and to build community where we know we can rely on each other for guidance and assistance. This event will also help to promote the remembrance of Allah through these devotional arts.
In addition to the Islamic Devotional Arts performers we will also have sessions with Shaykh AbdulKarim Yahya, Shaykh Yahya Rhodus, Imam Amin Muhammad, Shaykh Muhammad Mendes, Ustadha Ieasha Prime and more coming soon in sha Allah.
The show will feature the following performers: Amir Sulaiman, Native Deen, Nader Khan, Baraka Blue, Ghuydar Bashmaf, Muaz An Nas, and Malik L in sha Allah. We will also have the following shuyukh in attendance: Shaykh Muhammad Mendes, Shaykh Yahya Rhodus, Imam Amin Muhammad, and more!
The money raised will go towards paying for the details of the event namely honorariums, stage equipment, lighting, chairs, food, and the facility.
You can help by supporting the event and donating and coming to the event on July 8th in sha Allah. The tickets you receive as gifts for donating will be cheaper than purchasing the tickets outside of Launchgood in sha Allah.
If you are unable to come, however, would still like to donate we can give your free tickets away to someone else if you wish. This event will be two weeks after Eid Al Fitr and this would make a great gift to give someone.
