Your generous contribution of $165 supports a family of 7 members with fresh food throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
2.1 million Palestinians in Gaza are entering their 12th year under the illegal Israeli blockade causing severe economic and social challenges. For the third consecutive year, Taawon will provide marginalized families with weekly fresh food baskets of vegetables, fruits, chicken and eggs purchased from small farmers and producers, delivered over the duration of 5 weeks throughout Ramadan and the Eid.
Taawon distinguishes its intervention during the holy month of Ramadan through combining both humanitarian and developmental aspects in a well-packaged project with the aim of delivering a sustainable impact. Through generous contributions in Ramadan of 2018, we were able to support over 4,000 families and 630 small farmers and producers to enhance their steadfastness, and provide over 6,000 working days for the unemployed.
This year, we aim to support 8,000 needy families, 200 local workers, 1,000 farmers and producers.
