Support our Welcome Ramadhan Campaign

In the UK, research has found that of the 3,000 Muslim children entering foster care every year, approximately half spend time living in non-Muslim homes. 

Since 2017, with the help of Launchgood and 100's of supporters like you, we have provided 565 boxes to foster families looking after Muslim children. 

We had our launch event at London Central Mosque.

Our Welcome box will provide the foster carer with the tools and knowledge enabling them to understand the religious and cultural needs of a Muslim child.

Through our Welcome Box, we want the foster carer and foster child to feel that there is a community of people who care for them and are willing to support them.

"The little one I look after was a bit young to understand what was in the box, but we took a photo of them with all the contents and with the lanterns lit and we’ve put it in the child’s life story book. The child has potentially been matched to be adopted by a Muslim family, so it was important that the little one was able to take part and have a record of taking part in Ramadan. The child was too young for the chocolate, so we gave them to another foster carer who is Muslim as a thank you when they looked after the baby for us during Ramadan.’
