A new society of Syrian refugees are forming how Istanbul looks like!

مجتمع جديد من اللاجئين المهجرين السوريين بدؤوا يغيرون ملامح إسطنبول

Did you know that out of the 3 million Syrian refugees who are located in Turkey, there are about 500,000 students spread all over the country and almost 55,000 of them are living in Istanbul?

Due to several independent and governmental projects a majority of the Syrian youth has been able to continue their education safeguarding almost a whole generation not be lost to the disastrous effects of illiteracy.Most students(27,000 in Istanbul alone) have been integrated into the Turkish school system where they successfully participate in the Turkish curriculum, including the exact sciences, Turkish history, culture and language. 

"The number of Syrian children enrolled in Turkish schools and TECs rose to almost 500,000 in 2016".(UNHCR.  E.Gurel report in may 2017)

هل تعلم أن هناك ما يزيد على ثلاثة ملايين لاجئ ومهجر سوري يقطنون تركيا؟ ، وهل تعلم أن من هؤلاء المهجرين ما يقرب على خمس مئة ألف طالب وطالبة يعيش خمسون ألفاً منهم فقط في إسطنبول؟

نعم، ومن هؤلاء الخمسون ألفاً هناك تسعة وعشرون ألفاً يدرسون في المدارس التركية الحكومية من المرحلة الابتدائية إلى الثانوية بالمنهاج واللغة التركية بشكل كامل؟

"إن عدد الأطفال السوريين المنخرطين في المدارس التركية قد ارتفع إلى أكثر من 500،000 في عام 2016" تقرير منظمة الأمم المتحدة في أيار عام 2017 لـ الأستاذ أ. جوريل.

• Suriyeli mülteciler İstanbul'un görünümünü değiştiriyor!

Türkiye'de yerleşmiş bulunan Suriyeli mültecilerin 500 bin kadarının öğrenci olduğunu ve bu öğrencilerin 55 binlik kısmı İstanbul'da yaşadığını biliyor musunuz?

İstanbul'da eğitim gören 29bin Suriyeli öğrenci okullarda bütün dersleri Türk okullarında ve Türkçe olarak alıyorlar.

"Türkiye'de okullarda ve geçici eğitim merkezlerinde eğitim gören Suriyeli çocukların çocukların sayısı 2016 yılında 500.000'e ulaştı."(UNHCR. E. Gürel Mayıs 2017 raporu)

The sever  challenge that we are facing:

Imagine a six year old child who arrived in Istanbul at the beginning of the Syrian war 2012. After successfully studying in a Turkish school reading, writing and speaking, there is a major possibility that this child has lost three crucial elements of its cultural heritage:

•  The ability to read, write and speak Formal Arabic.
• Traditional Islamic education, since the religion subjects in public schools are quite simple and being taught in Turkish language by a Turkish teacher.
• A sense of their historical and cultural heritage as Syrian.

We fear that a whole generation of Syrian children, being raised and educated in the Turkish curriculum, will lose the cultural and social connection with their homeland and the history of their family. Hence we, a group of dedicated Syrian students, have established a project to bring into practice our vision,i.e., a revival of the Syrian patrimony and heritage amongst the Syrian youth in Istanbul.

The Aqsa Youth Institution:

We started in small mosques since we did not have any place, however after two years, we were able to rent a small building to give regular classes for students between 6-18 years old.

ولكن، من أحد الحلول التي يؤمل أن تكون من بدائل حماية لغة الطلبة وثقافتهم وهويتهم الأم، دورات ومعاهد عطل نهاية الأسبوع في الشتاء والعطلة الصيفية، لتعليمهم اللغة العربية والثقافة الإسلامية والتاريخ السوري.

ومن أحد هذه المعاهد:

                                              معهد شباب الأقصى 

نطلقنا في سنة 2014  كمجموعة من الطلاب الجامعيين والعاملين المتطوعين لتعليم اللغة العربية والثقافة الإسلامية للطلاب المهجرين السوريين في إسطنبول.بدأنا بجهود متواضعة في أحد مساجد إسطنبول الصغيرة لعدم توفر بناء ومكان للتدريس بشكل موسع، ومع هذا والحمد لله استطعنا بعد سنتين استئجار معهد صغير لإعطاء الدروس والدورات التعليمية للطلاب بين أعمار 6- 18 سنة.

• Türkiye'de yaşayan 3 milyon Suriyelinin Türkiye'dekiler için Arapça öğrenimini kolaylaştıracağını düşündük fakat maalesef diğer yandan Suriyeli öğrenciler kendi dillerini ve tarihlerini unutmaya başladılar.​
  Öğrencilerin dil, eğitim ve kimlik sıkıntısını çözmenin yollarından biri de bizim Al-Aqsa Gençlik Derneği'miz gibi haftasonları eğitim veren kurumlardır.
  
  Biz, 2014 yılında gönüllü birkaç öğrenci olarak İstanbul'daki Suriyeli öğrencilere Arapça ve İslami eğitim vermek üzere bir araya geldik.
  
  Bir yerimizi olmadığından ötürü küçük camiilerde başladık fakat iki yıl sonra 6-18 yaş çocuklar için düzenli ders verebileceğimiz küçük bir bina kiralamayı başardık.
  

We are able to teach and accommodate about 300 students since we started, focusing on teaching them:

• ​Arabic language.
• Syrian History.
• Islamic Primers.

1- Holy Quarn.(recitation and tajweed)

2- Hadeeth.

3- Sirah (prophet S.A.W biography). 

4- Fikh (Jurisprudence)

5- Tazkiyah and islamic manners.

6- Akeedah (Islamic theology)

ويستطيع معهدنا حالياً استيعاب الطلاب بطاقة 300 طالب وطالبة منذ أن بدأنا، ويكون التركيز حالياً على تدريسيهم المواد التالية:اللغة العربيةالتاريخ السوري.الثقافة الإسلامية العربية ، والتي تتضمن: 

اللغة العربية.

التاريخ السوري.

الثقافة الإسلامية باللغة العربية: والتي تتضمن:

القرآن الكريم تلاوة وتجويداً وحفظاً.

الحديث النبوي الشريف.

السيرة النبوية.

الفقه.

التزكية والآداب الإسلامية.

العقيدة. 

Başladığımızdan beridir 300 öğrenciye eğitim verebildik.
Odaklandığımız başlıklar:
- Arapça
- Suriye tarihi
- Arapça olarak İslam eğitimi
1- Kur'an(kıraat ve tecvid)
2- Hadis
3- Siyer
4- Fıkıh(ilmihal)
5- Adab
6- Akaid

for our project to expand and maintain all its classes we are dependent on your donations. If we cannot get enough funding to rent and maintain the building for another 8 months, unfortunately more than 250 students will not be able to continue   learning Arabic, Islamic education and Syrian history

Where will the funds go?

We need to cover these expenses so that we can continue teaching until this winter spring course that will last until next September 2018.

Classes and courses fees. (Books, Stationery, curriculum…)  1000 USD.

Teachers and staff fees. 7000 USD.

Media and documentation. 500 USD.

Summer and midterms’ camps and trips : 1000 USD.

Maintaining the building (rent fees, bills, cleaning, and continues repairing  : 15000 USD.

Food fees. (breakfast, snacks, celebrations ,feasts, guests, and other meals ) 1750 USD.

إلى أين ستذهب التبرعات: 

نحن محتاجون لتأمين النفقات التالية حتى نستطيع الاستمرارفي التعليم واستقبال الطلبة للدورة الشتوية الحالية والصيفية القادمة التي ستستمرإلى أيلول القادم عام 2018 إن شاء الله.

المصاريف المطلوبة:

المحاضرات والدروس (متضمنة مصاريف الكتب والقرطاسية والمواد التعليمية)

الأساتذة والكوادر التربوية.

التوثيق والسجلات والإعلام.

مخيمات العطل الصيفية والانتصافية التعليمية والترفيهية ونشاطات العيد والنزهات.

إصلاح بناء المعهد وتقويمه (متضمناً مصاريف الآجار والفواتير والتنظيف والإصلاح والعناية المستمرة)

الطعام والنفقات الغذائية (طعام الإفطار والنشاطات والرحلات وطعام الضيوف والوجبات المختلفة)

مصاريف الديون المستحقة على المعهد حتى الآن.

​ملاحظة مهمة:معهدنا هو مؤسسة مستقلة غير سياسية غير ربحية مرخصة من قبل الحكومة التركية.

                                     وماتفعلوا من خير يعلمه  الله وتزودا فإن خير الزاد التقوى.

• Eylül 2018'e kadar eğitime devam edebilmemiz için aşağıdaki masrafları karşılamamız gerekiyor:

(Kitaplar, kırtasiye, müfredat) 1000 Dolar

Öğretmen ve görevli ücretleri: 7000 Dolar

Medya ve dökümantasyon: 500 Dolar

Sömestr ve Yaz kampları/gezileri: 1000 Dolar

Bina masrafları:

(kira, faturalar, temilik, tadilat) 15.000 Dolar

Gıda masrafları:

(kahvaltı, atıştırmalık, kutlamalar, bayramlar, misafirler ve diğer) 1750 Dolar

Türkiye hükümetinden resmi belge ile birlikte bağımsız, kâr amacı gütmeyen ve siyasi olmayan bir derneğiz.

We are an independent, non-political organization with non-profit status certification from the Turkish government.

We firmly believe that one of the core solutions for the crises that has befallen Syria is to prepare ourselves to build it up again, through proper knowledge of our history, our heritage and our values.

إن لم نستطع تأمين المبلغ المطلوب فإنه على الأغلب سيتوقف نشاط المعهد التعليمي في الفصل القادم - لا سمح الله – لعدم القدرة على تأمين المستحقات والمصاريف المطلوبة لعام 2018.
