Poor Farmers in This Village Needs Donation to Build Their Mosque

Assalamu'alaikum warahmatullaahi wabarakatuh.

Built in the early 1980s, the Baitul Muhlisin Mosque located in a farmer village at RT03 RW02, Dkh. Gadel, Ds. Sidorejo, Kec. Sukorejo, Kab. Ponorogo, East Java, Indonesia (Google Maps) is now less feasible and no longer able to accommodate all of the worshipers.

This small mosque may only be 6x6m in size and is the only mosque in this neighborhood.

Since its establishment until today, this mosque has become the center of religious activities of residents over three decades. Starting from the praying fard, learning places for children reciting Al-Qur'an in the afternoon, praying Ied, and other religious activities. Thank God, the great faith of the worshipers devote entirely to this small mosque.

This mosque once renovated on around 20 or 25 years ago until it finally became what it is today. I vaguely remember, at first,  this mosque was still woven bamboo walls, grounded, so simple.

However, the meaning of this mosque is not that simple for these farmers. Baitul Muhlisin for them is not just a place to pray. Baitul Muhlisin is where they take shelter, where they stay in touch, where they forge their children, where they rest from all kinds of fatigue.

The God Answer Their Prayers

Alhamdulillah, all praise be to Allah the Lord of the Worlds. God saw their love for the Baitul Muhlisin Mosque. A while ago they got the waqf land from a benefactor to build a larger mosque just next to the current location (May Allah repay his charity with abundant mercy, Ameen).

They have been looking forward to this for a long time, considering that the condition of the mosque is no longer able to accommodate all of the worshipers. Also, this mosque does not yet have other worship facilities such as ablution places and carpets.

Following up on this, in June 2019 the mosque management agreed to form a Baitul Muhlisin Mosque Construction Committee with the results such as the document here.

The Construction Begin

Construction has begun marked with the excavation of the building foundation on July 2, 2019, and continues to this day.

However, as seen in the document. They still lack funds amounting to 95 Million IDR (around USD 6.7K) to be able to complete the construction of the mosque in its entirety.

I personally see that the lack of funds amounting to 95M will be very difficult to fulfill, the number is so large considering that the mosque is located in a small village where the majority of the congregation are poor farmers and farm workers with a middle to lower economic status. Most of them may only be able to contribute energy.

That's what motivated me to ask permission from the construction committee to raise funds online. 

InshaAllah, all donations will be used for material purchases. Meanwhile, the work will be done voluntarily by themselves.
