When our brothers and sisters around the world constantly struggle to get food, we are wasting one third of ours. Road to Zero Waste non profit organization took action and launched two Community fridges in Toronto and are planning on setting up all across Canada. Food chains and households share their surplus food into our community fridge which is redistributed to the underprivileged. Fight food waste by making a donation to our cause today.

SURAH BAQARAH : 273 Your charities should be for the needy who are confined in the way of Allah, unable to travel in the land. An ignorant person takes them as free of need because of their abstinence. You know them by their appearance. They do not beg importunately, and whatever good thing you spend, Allah is All-Aware of it. 

There are many food banks that serve needy people however food banks are not anonymous and many people don't want to be listed as beneficiaries. Our Community Fridges allow the needy to resource our surplus food anonymously. Secondly our mission is to save food from being wasted. We are unique in this way that we are redistributing food that would otherwise go to waste in landfills. We are trying to reduce the costs of food waste and the effects of Global Warming.   

​Food wastes amounts to $600 Billion annually and is the leading cause of global warming. Road to Zero Waste launched two Community Fridges in within the span of three months and our target is to launch six more in the next three months inshAllah. The funds collected from this campaign will go towards launching additional fridges in Toronto, it will also help us in spreading awareness on YouTube and on our marketing efforts. We are looking for your monetary donations, referral support, decreasing food waste in your households and joining us to fight the alarming amount of wasted food.
