Help bring Shamsia Hassani of Afghanistan to the Wide Open Walls Mural Festival in California's Capital!

Help us make history by bringing the first female Muslim graffiti artist of Afghanistan, Shamsia Hassani, to Sacramento for the Wide Open Walls mural festival! A lecturer at Kabul University, Shamsia's artwork aims to shine a light on Afghan women. Her murals portray women with power and ambition who "can bring positive changes to people's lives." Her art has brought brilliance and color to Kabul's streets and aims to show appreciation for Afghan women. Now it's time for her artistic talent to brighten up Sacramento! Can you help bring more diversity to our art scene?

Wide Open Walls occurred on August 9th-19th, 2018, in Sacramento. The money from this campaign will cover the expenses that Wide Open Walls incurred.  Read more about this year's Wide Open Walls here: http://bit.ly/sacbeewow.
