Support inclusiveness in Perdaus 

Various people have differing needs when it comes to education. It could be a developmental challenge, or physical, or even psychological. We at Perdaus understand that, and we want to help people to continue to learn and not be deprived of this right. 

Who does Perdaus serve?

We mainly serve the Muslim community in Singapore, with different services for different age groups.

Our childcare centres

We run three childcare centres under the brand name Iyad Perdaus with strong inclusive practices. Iyad Perdaus is the pioneer Malay/Muslim organisation (MMO) in Singapore that was appointed by our ministries to provide:

• the Integrated Child Care Programme (ICCP). This programme promotes a model of integrated pre-school learning of "mainstream" children and children with mild to moderate special needs such as those with autism or ADHD. 
• the Learning Support and Developmental Support (LS/DS) programme. Children who have learning or developmental needs will receive assistance so that they will be ready for the challenges of primary school life later on.

With more funding, we hope to strengthen our inclusive practices and increase our learning resources and hence touch our children's lives more significantly, such that it promotes more inclusiveness in the community.

Our part-time religious education centres 

Our centres serve people in various ages and stages. We have part-time weekend Madrasah for school-age children, youth programmes for post-secondary students and basic Islamic religious classes for adults. 

We aim to promote inclusive practices here as well. As with our childcare, children with mild special needs are also welcomed here. A few of our older participants also have differing needs such as those in wheelchairs, and those from other beneficiaries. We are also proud to report that some of our asatizahs have undergone training in managing people with needs. 

Our centres have also been in heavy use for about twenty years and have not had any major upgrades for more than a decade. 

With renovated facilities that are more friendly for people that are differently abled, we hope to open up the space for more people, whatever their different abilities and special needs, who want to learn more about Islam.
