Alhamdulillaah target reached through offline and online donations - JazaakAllaahu Khairan, the first janaza and burial has occurred smoothly, may he RIP and be granted a high abode in Jannah.  in shaa Allaah we will continue collecting for our community welfare fund, the KMF (Keith / Khalid Mallet Fund - may be donated directly to bank account with KMF as reference). 

A brother of our community who accepted Islam had a last request prior to passing to the better world, to be buried as a Muslim. 

Please help us raise funds specifically for his burial, which may cost up to £3000, any money excessive to this will be put in South Lake Islamic Centre's Community Welfare Fund in honour of our brother whom we pray is a participant in all the reward and the good that comes forth from this.

Dear brothers and sisters, please pray for this brother, Keith Mallet, who was a regular at Jumua prayer mashaa Allaah. What convert / revert brothers and sisters go through cannot be understood by those of us born within the home of Islam. Remember, all of the great companions of our Prophet peace be upon him were, from a perspective, converts. The foundation of our religion is built by converts. Remember the first Sheikh of Britain, Abdullah William Henry Quillium, named Sheikh-ul-Britania, was a convert and Muslim Englishman who founded one of the first Mosques in England.

It seems only natural that the first known washing, shrouding and janazah we do in this region is of an English man who embraced Islam wholeheartedly. Such that, his last request was to ensure he was buried the Muslim way. This brother's family have requested we arrange all the funeral services for him, and there are no funds available for this yet.

So we are collecting from the community, and reaching out to you to help us raise funds for his funeral arrangements. From hereon we launch our Community Welfare Fund, which will be named the Keith Mallet Fund, which we pray will serve as a sadaqah-e-jaariya for him.
