Every year, hundreds of women take their shahadah and step into a new life as Muslims. For many, that step also means stepping away from family, community, and everything familiar. What comes next - isolation, marital and family conflict, housing and financial insecurity - is where Solace's 1:1 Support Service has stood for over a decade. 

This year, that service has been on hold. Requests for support haven't stopped. Our capacity to respond has. 

What would it be like if Solace didn't exist? 

Revert women in crisis would have nowhere to turn. No non-judgemental ear. No one who understands both the practical and spiritual weight of what they're carrying. Without this support, women are left more vulnerable to abusive marriages, homelessness, and even leaving the deen altogether. 

One woman we supported put it simply: 

"I reckon I would have left the faith if I did not have Solace support through the will of Allah swt. Now, I am working with Allah swt as a team! I am in the best place I have ever been mentally." 

The need, in numbers: 

• 4 requests for support arrive every day 

• 2,000+ 1:1 sessions delivered in a single year to over 500 sisters 

• A 3-week waiting list before the service paused 

• 286 requests received this year alone, with the service on hold
