Why her treatment can't wait

The wounds now cover her back and limbs. They have also reached beyond her skin: her sight, heart, and kidneys are affected. She is malnourished, and a body without enough food cannot heal. Each day without care gives infection another chance to take hold.

Butterfly Disease is a rare condition with no cure. Care means keeping wounds clean, dressed and free of infection, and keeping the body strong enough to fight. A tent in Gaza offers very little of what that takes.

Your donation goes toward four things:

• Hospital care to treat the complications reaching her eyes, heart, and kidneys
• Wound treatment, including dressings and supplies for wounds that never stay closed
• Nutrition, because she can’t heal without food
• Medicine to manage pain and prevent infection
