STORY OF TALEEM MOSQUE:

Assalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullaah,

Alhamdulillah by the grace of Allah the Taleem centre is now in its 3rd year of service to the local community in Grays, Thurrock. There are approximately 5000 muslims from a diverse range of backgrounds in the Thurrock area. The past 3 years has seen a huge increase in the local muslim population, with people moving east from London and the surrounding areas into Grays and the surrounding areas in Thurrock.  The Taleem Foundation was initially founded to provide an Islamic educational facility for the younger generation of Thurrock residents alongside other community and youth focused programmes.

Alhamdulillah by the grace of Allah we were granted permission earlier this year to operate the facility as a masjid and accomodate the daily salaah services to our residents. We are now also offering 5 times daily Salaah, 2 jamaats on Friday, and have 6 eid jamaats during Eid al Fitr and Eid al Adha.

Who are we, Taleem Mosque?

Taleem Mosque & Community Centre provides a welcoming and inclusive space for individuals from all walks of life. Our primary focus is to serve as a place of worship for men, women and children, allowing them to find solace and spiritual connection.

Our commitment to nurturing the Islamic faith extends beyond prayers. We believe in the power of education, especially in shaping the young minds of our community. That’s why we take great pride in offering comprehensive Islamic education for children, ensuring they grow up with a strong foundation in their faith.

As a non-profit organisation and registered charity, our utmost aim is to bring harmony and unity among the diverse members of our community. We believe that mutual understanding and cooperation between individuals of different faiths and backgrounds are essential for fostering a peaceful and thriving society.

Taleem Mosque & Community Centre serves as a hub for various community events and activities. These gatherings provide an excellent opportunity for individuals to come together, share experiences, and build strong bonds.

We are firm believers in an open-door policy, which means everyone is welcome within our walls. Whether you’re seeking spiritual guidance, a place to worship, or simply wish to engage with our community, you’ll find a warm and supportive environment at our centre.
