"Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return." (Qur'an 2:156)

Today, our community is mourning the sudden and heartbreaking loss of Ousmane Diallo.

His passing was completely unexpected, leaving his family, friends, and the countless people whose lives he touched in deep shock and grief.

Ousmane was more than a community member. He was an organizer and leader who dedicated himself to serving others. Whether advocating for his community, uplifting those around him, or working tirelessly in his professional life, he lived with purpose and sincerity. He was deeply committed to both his work and his deen, striving to leave a positive impact wherever he went.

His legacy of service, compassion, and faith will continue to inspire those who knew him.

Today, we ask our community to come together for Ousmane—this time by supporting the family he leaves behind.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

"When a person dies, all their deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them." (Sahih Muslim)

اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ ، وَارْفَعْ دَرَجَتَهُ فِي الْمَهْدِيِّينَ ، وَاخْلُفْهُ فِي عَقِبِهِ فِي الْغَابِرِيْنَ ، وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلَهُ يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ ، وَافْسَحْ لَهُ فِي قَبْرِهِ ، وَنَوِّرْ لَهُ فِيهِ
O Allah, forgive him, raise his rank among those who are guided, and take care of those he leaves behind him. Forgive us and him, O Lord of the worlds; expand his grave for him and illuminate it for him.
