Gaza is facing the largest orphan crisis in modern history.

Over 39,000 children in Gaza have lost one or both parents since October 2023. More than 17,000 are unaccompanied, living in overcrowded shelters, torn tents, and destroyed buildings with virtually no social care or psychological support.

Four out of every five children in Gaza are facing catastrophic levels of hunger. At least 17 children have died from cold in makeshift shelters. 52 more have died from starvation and malnutrition.

These are not statistics. These are children who once had parents who held them, fed them, and told them they were loved.

Allah ﷻ reminds us clearly in the Quran:

"And they give food, in spite of their love for it, to the needy, the orphan, and the captive."
(Surah Al-Insan, 76:8)

1. Food and nutrition
Ensuring children receive regular meals so they are not among those dying from hunger and malnutrition.

Connecting children with care, community, and stability so the trauma of loss does not define their lives.

4. Educational support
Keeping children learning, because a child with education has a future. A child without it faces a lifetime of vulnerability.
