Yagi Forest and The Barakah Communication are joining forces with Human Initiative to answer Sumatra’s cry for help. Support the Sumatra Floods Emergency Relief now.

Relentless floods and landslides have turned parts of Sumatra into a disaster zone. At least 174 people have died, 79 are still missing, and thousands of families have been pushed out of their homes into crowded evacuation shelters. In places like Padang Pariaman, water levels have reached more than one meter, cutting off roads and isolating entire communities from aid.

Human Initiative teams are already responding across Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. With 24 volunteers, we have reached around 670 people through:

• Evacuation and Search and Rescue (SAR)
• Distribution of Hot Meals for displaced families
• Rapid field assessments to map urgent needs and reach the most isolated villages

To amplify this effort, the communities of Yagi Forest and The Barakah Communication are mobilizing their networks, creativity, and platforms so Human Initiative can help more survivors, faster.

• Your contribution can turn breaking news into rescued lives.
• Your donation can provide warm meals, clean water, and basic supplies for families who have lost everything overnight.
• Your generosity can keep rescue boats and vehicles moving, fuel emergency logistics, and keep posts open in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.
• Your ongoing support can help families move from fear and loss toward safety and recovery with dignity.

When you give, you stand beside a mother wading through chest deep water, a child waiting in a shelter, and an elderly survivor carried to safety by our teams.
