Brothers in Need invites you to join us at Mayor Bilal El-Hayek’s Lights Out Sleep Out for a brighter tomorrow. Together, we can tackle homelessness.
Join us for the 2026 Mayor’s Lights Out Sleep Out, a collaborative fundraising event by Brothers in Need, Maronites on Mission, and Mission Australia, coordinated by the City of Canterbury-Bankstown.
The event will be held from 6pm Friday 28 August to 7am Saturday 29 August at Belmore Oval / Belmore Sports Ground. This fundraiser aims to raise both funds and awareness to support people who are at risk of, or currently experiencing, homelessness, while strengthening outreach programs across Canterbury-Bankstown.
Making a Tangible Difference - How You Can Get Involved
The funds raised will significantly enhance our outreach efforts by providing hygiene packs and essential resources that uphold the dignity and well-being of vulnerable individuals in our community.
Your support will also help us expand our food distribution programs, including our Mobile Food Pantry and Soup Kitchen initiatives, ensuring regular access to nutritious meals and pantry items for homeless individuals and families.
We are looking to raise $10,000 to help feed those in need, Insha Allah.
