Your Mercy, Their Hope

I have taken on the pledge to do all that I can to help our brothers and sisters in Gaza, Yemen and Lebanon this Ramadan. Please donate generously to my campaign and lets help feed as many families as we can. Knowing that every time we break our fast in the UK, that 10 families in Gaza, Yemen and Lebanon are also breaking their fasts with nutritious meals means the world to me. Subhanallah, your reward will be immense because you are literally feeding the Fasting.

Over 15 months of war, bombing, the complete destruction of road, homes, hospitals, utilities such as water, gas and electricity; with even the sewage system not surviving, thereby adding more disease and epidemics to an already desperate situation that is Gaza of today.

With over 60% of buildings turned to dust and rubble and almost every other build left standing damaged beyond recognition, this Ramadan let US not let our brothers and sister in Gaza down.

This Ramadan, let’s come together to be the hope that families in need are counting on. Through your mercy and generosity, you can transform lives and be the answer to their prayers.

A simple act of kindness, a heartfelt donation, can provide nutritious food to those struggling to make ends meet. Your mercy is their hope – a beacon of light in their time of need.

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) is reported to have said

“Whoever feeds a fasting person will earn the same reward as him without diminishing in any way the reward of the fasting person.”

Due to little or no access to food, millions will struggle to fast. Without adequate suhoor and iftaar meals, how can one expect to carry out the fourth pillar of Islam?

Mercy Relief are providing iftaar meals and food packs across many countries in need, where people are starving.

In Yemen, millions are malnourished, without access to nutritious meals, even outside of Ramadan. In Palestine, more than 2 million are living on less than $1 a day and are relying on support to satisfy their hunger. And in Lebanon, millions of Syrians face another Ramadan of pain, agony and hunger.

For a simple donation of £75 today, you can feed a family of up to seven people for all of Ramadan, earning the reward of fasting without even fasting. A simple £5 can provide one hot meal in Ramadan in countries such as Yemen where millions battle hunger daily.

“Whoever relieves a Muslim of a burden from the burdens of the world, Allah will relieve him of a burden from the burdens on the Day of Judgement. And whoever helps ease a difficulty in the world, Allah will grant him ease from a difficulty in the world and in the Hereafter.” [Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.]

Ramadan is a month of blessings, a month of worship and a month of happiness where many of us focus on bettering ourselves whilst spending time with our families.

For those who are suffering due to war, natural disasters and poverty, their focus is simply on food - what will they break their fast with? How will their children eat in the evening? Will there be enough food to be able to fast throughout Ramadan?

We’re here to answer these questions with our actions. Mercy Relief is dedicated to ending hunger through the delivery of vital humanitarian aid in the form of nutritious cooked hot meals and food packs which include all the necessary foodstuffs to allow families to cook and provide for themselves throughout this holy month.

Your support will allow us to feed hundreds of thousands of people and relieve their agonies of hunger.
