1/12/2026 - Location update - The Whiteland location (6001 N US Highway 31) did not work out.

We are continuing our search to find a location/rental property which meets the City/County compliance and our needs of a Community Center/Masjid South of the Greenwood Mall.

Our goal is to find a location which will be easily accessible to majority of south of Greenwood Mall Muslim residents.

What we need the donations for - With your donations, we are trying to cover the first month rent and deposit.

There are other expenses that come after signing the lease with a possibly of adding a bathroom due to mixed gathering setting.

This is your brother in Islaam, Shaz. I have been in Indiana for over ten years now, an attendee of MCC Masjid at-Taqwa and ISCI in Columbus, IN. I work for a healthcare organization (almost ten years there too, alhamdulilah).

Alhamdulilah, help us establish a neighborhood place of worship, Masjid al-Ikhlaas part of the Salaam Community Center, for our children to grow, learn and call it their Masjid. A place where members of our community can easily visit avoiding long durations of driving.

Our objectives - Some of the objectives, in Shaa Allah, hope to achieve.

The central function of this project will be acting a dual role of an active Community Center and a Masjid. Salaam Community Center will be working on the exposure to the Muslim and non-Muslim audience with events and activities to drive home the main objective of Islaam, with mercy and wisdom, inviting towards goodness in this world and the Hereafter.

Salam Community Center functions - Convert Programs - Social and Educational. Community Outreach (for non-Muslims and Muslims) - Clinics, classes about resources, uniting the local community together.

Children and Youth learning opportunities, as well as fun activities in summer and school breaks.

Masjid al-Ikhlaas - Daily prayers, Qur'aan classes for all ages, educational halaqah, khateeb and public speaking workshops!
