Help Rohingya families in Bangladesh affected by deadly floods and landslides.

Relentless monsoon rains are battering Rohingya refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, where more than 1.2 million refugees live after fleeing conflict in Myanmar.

Between July 4 and July 9, extreme weather brought devastating floods, landslides, and strong winds across the camps. At least 15 Rohingya refugees have lost their lives, 18 people have been injured, and more than 26,000 refugees have been affected by the disaster.

In just a few days, hundreds of weather-related incidents were reported, including landslides, flash floods, and severe wind damage. Thousands of shelters have been damaged, forcing families to seek safety as roads, pathways, schools, health facilities, and essential services have also been impacted.

For families living in fragile shelters on steep, crowded hillsides, every heavy rainfall brings the threat of another landslide or flood. Some have been forced to leave their homes and relocate to safer areas, while others remain in damaged shelters, worried about what the next storm may bring.

Donate now to provide urgent relief.

The monsoon season is far from over, and thousands more refugees remain at risk as heavy rains continue. Children, older people, and people with disabilities are among those facing the greatest danger.

UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, is responding on the ground alongside the Government of Bangladesh and humanitarian partners. Emergency teams are helping families move to safer locations, assessing damage, distributing emergency shelter materials, providing medical support, and working to reinforce vulnerable areas before further storms arrive.

Many Rohingya families have already lost so much. Your donation today can help UNHCR provide emergency shelter, protection, and life-saving assistance to those facing this devastating crisis.

Please stand with Rohingya refugee families and help them stay safe through the ongoing monsoon emergency.

About the Refugee Zakat Fund

The UN Refugee Agency has restructured its Zakat program into a global fund, the Refugee Zakat Fund: a trusted, efficient and pioneering Sharia-compliant structure that harnesses the power of Zakat to make a positive impact on the world.

Last year alone, Zakat funds received by UNHCR have supported 10.6 million vulnerable individuals including widows, elderly, and those taking care of orphans – with vital cash assistance.  Generous Zakat donations have been distributed to eligible refugee families, enabling them to cover their basic expenses such as rent, food, medicine, and often debt repayment, as they struggle to make ends meet away from home.
