We will match every donation to help rebuild Tawila Hospital and bring life-saving care to families in Sudan.

Who are we?

Since Muzz first launched in 2015, our mission has always been about more than helping people find love and marriage. We believe in leaving behind something meaningful and lasting.

With the support of our community, we have raised over $2 million for charitable projects around the world. Together, we have helped build physical, life-changing infrastructure including schools, bakeries, hospitals, and housing pods in Yemen, Syria, Pakistan, and for Palestinian refugee communities in Jordan.

Our focus has always been on creating tangible legacies that continue to serve communities long after donations are made.

This Ramadan, we are taking on our biggest project yet. In partnership with the Sudanese American Physicians Association, Muzz is leading the reconstruction of Tawila Hospital in North Darfur, Sudan, a critical facility for hundreds of thousands of displaced families.

Through this campaign, we hope to leave behind a life-saving hospital that will stand for years to come, as a lasting act of compassion and care.

The Project

This Ramadan, Muzz is leading a life-saving campaign to rebuild Tawila Hospital in North Darfur, Sudan, in partnership with the Sudanese American Physicians Association (SAPA). Tawila has become the largest displacement hub in Sudan. More than 650,000 people, most of them women and children, are now living there after fleeing violence and famine. Many arrived with nothing. Many are malnourished, injured, or seriously ill. At present, Tawila’s only hospital is small, under-equipped, and overwhelmed. It lacks surgical capacity, maternity care, and any facility to treat severely malnourished children. This project aims to change that.

Together, we will reconstruct Tawila Hospital into a 75-bed secondary hospital, with an integrated 30-bed Stabilisation Centre to treat children suffering from severe acute malnutrition.

This campaign is Zakat-eligible. All donations made during the final ten nights will be matched by Muzz.

Why Tawila. Why Now.

Since mid-2024, escalating violence across North Darfur has forced hundreds of thousands of families to flee into Tawila. After the fall of Al-Fashir in late 2025, the flow of displaced people increased dramatically.

Today:

  • Over 650,000 displaced people live in Tawila
  • 57% are children, with 25% under the age of five
  • 30% of children under five are acutely malnourished
  • There is no Stabilisation Centre to treat severe malnutrition
  • Pregnant women are giving birth without access to surgery or emergency obstetric care

Many families arrived after weeks of travel with little food or clean water. Children are arriving dehydrated, malnourished, and traumatised. Preventable diseases such as malaria, cholera, and respiratory infections are spreading rapidly in overcrowded settlements.

Without immediate action, preventable deaths will continue.

What this project will deliver

With your support, this project will rebuild Tawila Hospital as a fully functioning secondary-level facility capable of serving hundreds of thousands of people.

The hospital will provide:

  • Emergency and elective surgery
  • Maternity and obstetric care
  • Paediatric and internal medicine services
  • Laboratory and diagnostic facilities
  • A 30-bed Stabilisation Centre for children with severe acute malnutrition

The facility will be designed to remain operational during crises, with:

  • Solar power systems
  • Borehole water supply
  • Infection prevention and waste management systems

Once completed, the hospital is expected to serve over 55,000 patients each year and treat at least 2,000 malnourished children annually.
