Last Ramadan, we started the Ramadan Lights Project with one simple goal: to make Ramadan visible in our city.

We installed a Ramadan Mubarak sign in Nathan Phillips Square, one of Toronto’s most well known and loved landmarks. For many people, this was the first time they had seen Ramadan represented so visibly in the heart of the city. Families gathered to take photos, friends met up after iftar, and passersby stopped to ask questions and learn more about the meaning of the month.

Those signs became more than decorations. They created a sense of belonging. They told Muslim communities that they are seen, welcomed, and valued. They also opened the door for connection and understanding across cultures.

This year, the Ramadan Lights Project is growing.

With the support of our charity partner TCMV, we are working to expand Ramadan signage to more cities across the Greater Toronto Area. Installing these signs requires funding for design, permits, production, installation, and maintenance. Your support helps make this expansion possible.

Every contribution goes directly toward bringing Ramadan lights and signage to new neighbourhoods, allowing more communities to experience the warmth, beauty, and inclusivity of the month.

By supporting this campaign, you are helping turn public spaces into places of connection and celebration. Together, we can light up more cities and make Ramadan a shared moment of joy for everyone.

We’re excited to host public unveilings and community gatherings in the following cities:
