Since October 7, 2023, Gaza has endured relentless devastation. More than 2 million people are facing the worst hunger crisis in Gaza’s history. Today, 100% of Gaza’s population faces acute food insecurity, with nearly half a million people - one in five - already at catastrophic levels of starvation.

The Reality: Famine Is No Longer a Threat - It’s Imminent

• 470,000 people are in IPC Phase 5 (Catastrophe)—the highest level of hunger
• 100% of Gaza’s population are acutely food insecure
• Over 71,000 children and 17,000 mothers urgently need treatment for acute malnutrition.
• 290,000 children under five years of age, and 150,000 pregnant and breastfeeding women need feeding and micronutrient supplements immediately.

Every day, malnutrition is taking the lives of children. Families are surviving on what little they can find. Many are not eating at all. The World Food Programme and UNICEF warn that if we wait for an official famine declaration, it will be too late.

THERE IS NO TIME TO LOSE

The current situation at the border is unpredictable with many uncertainties. We are preparing food and aid packs, ready to be delivered at a moment's notice. A limited number of aid has been allowed into Gaza. But more needs to be done. Highlights:

• 60,000+ people reported to be martyred since October 7, 2023 (actual number is significantly higher).
• 146,000+ people have been injured, of which more than 70% are women and children
• 11,000+ reported missing under rubble
• 2 million Palestinians are forcibly displaced and facing starvation
• 71,000+ children require treatment for malnutrition and starvation
• 1 million+ children in need of immediate mental health support
