UPDATE: We still need your help to feed babies in Gaza.

Alhamdullilah, thanks to your generosity, infant formula is on its way to mothers and newborns in Gaza. The Infant Formula project will be implemented specifically in North Gaza, Middle Gaza, and Khan Younis city, where malnutrition has left many mothers unable to nurse, and formula is scarce. 

Every day, about 150 babies are born in Gaza (UNFPA). So far, your support will help us distribute 5,670 infant formula packs to 630 infants over three months, with 9 packs for each baby, giving mothers one less thing to worry about.

We need your help; we are about $47,000 short of reaching the babies still waiting. InshaAllah, we can close that gap with 26 people giving $150/month! A newborn doesn’t have weeks to wait for food and nutrition.

Allah SWT tells us: “...whoever saves a life, it will be as if they saved all of humanity.” (5:32)

These parents would give absolutely anything to save their babies’ lives.

Gazan mothers are facing the unthinkable: holding hungry newborns with no access to proper nutrition, formula, or medical care.

In a displacement camp, a mother’s only wish is to feed her baby herself. But hunger and exhaustion leave her unable to breastfeed. Formula is almost never found, and when it does appear, it costs more than she could ever pay.

So she tries to make it last. She adds water, stretching a single can through the week. It is all she can do, but it is never enough for a baby this small.

For many babies, formula and essential nutrients are simply out of reach. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers are often malnourished themselves, making it harder to keep their children healthy during the most fragile stages of life.

What the project does

Every month, formula arrives in North Gaza, Middle Gaza, and Khan Younis. We place it directly in the hands of mothers in displacement camps and community centers. We open each can right there, so every scoop feeds a hungry child, not the market.

With every can, every baby is checked for malnutrition: at the start, halfway through, and at the end. If a child begins to fall behind, we catch it early, before it becomes a crisis.

630 babies under one year old. 5,670 cans of formula. More than 3,000 family members who no longer have to worry about their youngest going hungry.
