We increased our fundraising goal to maximize the donations over the next two days and help support more families!! Thank you to everyone that donated and supported our fundraiser and helped us reach our initial goal.

07/06/2021- reached our goal of $2,700 towards helping and providing living essentials to Palestinian families living in the Gaza Strip.

Our goal for this campaign is to raise $2200 to help provide emergency relief in terms of food, medical aid, and general living essentials to Palestinian families in the Gaza Strip.

Due to many years of the occupation, around 80% of Palestinians are dependent on humanitarian assistance for survival. The shortage of food accessibility leaves 68% of the population not sure where their next meal is coming from. As a result, 60% of the children are anemic and suffer from malnutrition. In addition, 53% of the population is below the poverty line.

With this campaign, we aim to provide several families of 5-7 individuals with food for a month, living essentials and medical aid. Together, we have the opportunity to help improve their living status and support them through their difficulties.

How is Islamic Relief helping?

Islamic Relief Canada is continuously helping to provide emergency relief and help families recover from the ongoing violence. From Islamic Relief’s office in Gaza, they operate to serve the communities there across the Gaza Strip.

How can YOU help Palestine?

Every donation helps no matter how small. To give perspective on your donations’ impact, here are some giving levels: 

To feed a family for a month: $60

To provide a family with living essentials: $100

To give urgent medical aid for 1 or 2 individuals: $250

To cover basic needs of a family in poverty: $500

Where the money goes:

For the funds raised, ~89% of all proceeds will go directly to provide the emergency relief to Palestine and ~11% goes for fundraising and admin costs through Islamic Relief, a registered Canadian Charitable Organization (Registration No. 821896875RR0001).
