At Rethink Charity, we believe in the power of education and collaboration to transform lives. This summer, we are launching a new campaign in partnership with OxPal, a UK-based organisation dedicated to connecting UK clinicians with medical students in Gaza and the West Bank. 
Together, we are working to provide life-changing opportunities for Palestinian students to access world-class medical training at Oxford.

Doctors and medical students in Gaza and the West Bank face daily challenges that most of us can barely imagine. 
Limited resources, ongoing conflict, and restricted access to advanced training make it incredibly difficult for them to develop the skills they need to serve their communities. 
Despite these obstacles, their determination and commitment to healthcare remain unwavering.

This year, we have the opportunity to bring a group of exceptional Palestinian students to Oxford for two transformative programmes! 
The first is the Surgical Skills Competition, where one outstanding student from the West Bank has been selected to participate in a prestigious event taking place from 9th to 24th August 2025. 
The second is a two-week Summer School, running from 1st to 14th September 2025, which will welcome 8 dedicated students from Gaza. 
These programmes are designed to provide hands-on training, exposure to new techniques, and the chance to build international networks that will benefit their communities for years to come.

To make this vision a reality, we need your support. The total funding required is £1,700 for the Surgical Skills Competition participant and £12,400 to cover all costs for the 8 Summer School students. 
This includes accommodation, flights, visa fees, internal travel, and food - everything needed to ensure these students can focus on learning and growth without financial barriers.
