A Vision Like No Other

The Muslim Women’s Council is proud to introduce a bold, groundbreaking project that will transform the lives of Muslim women and other women from ethnically diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds across Bradford and surrounding areas.

We have secured a building, the first step in our mission to create a women-led, multi-purpose centre, rooted in the principles of inclusion, empowerment, and community. We now need YOUR SUPPORT to raise £150,000 for the construction of the core & shell of the ground floor and basement, consisting of a cafe, kitchen & preparatory area.

Join Us – Be Part of a Historic Legacy

We are inviting YOU to partner with us in this transformative mission.

Having secured the building, we now need your support to refurbish, extend, and equip the space. Your donation—large or small—will directly contribute to creating a sanctuary of growth, belonging, and opportunity for generations to come.

This is not just a building. It is a model of excellence, a symbol of hope, and a blueprint for change, led by women, for everyone.

As we mourn the loss of our Chief Executive, sister and friend Bana Gora,  who returned to Allah SWT on 30th April 2026, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for all your support with our fundraising.

The funds raised will serve as a means of Sadaqah Jariyah for our beloved sister Bana. The Women's Building project was very dear to her heart. Bana was a unique trailblazer, guiding our work with her forthright, unflinching wisdom & knowledge. A true visionary, determined to make a difference to our community. Her passion for her work & her dedication to her faith will continue to inspire us.

May Allah grant Bana forgiveness and mercy, admit her into Jannat al-Firdaus, elevate her rank, and accept her many years of dedicated service, ameen.

Bana's legacy will live on through the lives she touched, the institutions she shaped, the communities she served, and the courage she inspired in others, along with the sincerity of faith she brought into every aspect of our work.

If any of our projects have helped you or someone you know in anyway, or if you would simply like to continue supporting the work we do for our community, we humbly ask you to donate and share this appeal. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us closer to our goal!

This will be a forward-thinking, transformative, community-led institution created by women, for everyone. It reflects so much of what Bana dedicated her life to: service, women's leadership, and lasting community benefit.

Together, let's complete Phase 1 of our Women's Building project inshaAllah.

Please note the donations are not zakat-eligible.
