William Jerome Adams is now in custody in Gwinnett County Jail and he has refuses to communicate. The "why" may never be revealed...not that it matters because such evil never has a reason.
Atif is trying. However, sorting through his grief over the loss of his beloved son and the friend he had in Mary while trying to make sure Naila doesn't fall behind in school and carrying out the care for his children in the manner they are accustomed to under their moms care has him overwhelmed.
Little Amir has started opening up...and he misses his mom. He misses his big brother. He is well aware of what happened to them. He is well aware that he was present in the home when it happened. There is a long road ahead of him in dealing with this trauma.
Marida doesn't stop thinking about what she witnessed. She doesn't stop thinking about her mom and brother. Words can't quite capture what she is going through, what the entire family is going through.
In these last days of Ramadan, I implore you to continue to share the fundraising link to get us to the end goal. It will give Atif a chance to breathe and focus on the children and their needs. It will assist in providing necessary professional care for the children. We know that giving during this month equates to countless blessings...let's capitalize on this time and do all we can to help.
Your help is invaluable. Thank you. We are eternally grateful for all the prayers and help received.

Journey Towards Healing
"Life doesn't stop for us"
This is what Naila said to me late last night as we sat on Facetime for about an hour. She told me she needs help, that she needs professional help because she isn't quite sure how to move past the shock of not having her twin and her mother. She doesn't know who she misses more... her twin, the best friend who had literally shared every moment of her life or her mom, who she can no longer talk to who understood her better than anyone. Listening to her express her thoughts is heartbreaking.
