With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our dearest, most genuinely beloved brother, Umar Hakim Dey. An absolute pillar in the community, Umar devoted his life to service. From Islah LA, Los Angeles, surrounding cities and beyond, he worked to improve and inspire all communities. We are eternally grateful for the lasting impact his presence had on all of us. We are sad, but know he is beloved in this life and the next Insha’Allah. May he rest in everlasting peace at the highest level of paradise. Ameen.

In loving memory of Umar Hakim, a beloved community builder and devoted member of the Muslim community, we are organizing a fundraiser to honor his enduring legacy. Umar's unwavering commitment to fostering unity and strengthening community bonds touched countless lives, and we pray that it weighs on his scale of good deeds.

This fundraiser aims to provide support to Umar's family, which includes his wife and three children. All funds will be collected by Islah LA, and will be directly distributed to Umar's family.

May Allah have mercy on him, forgive him, and grant him the highest level in Jannah.
