"When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (a continuous charity), knowledge from which benefit is gained, or a righteous child who prays for him." (Muslim)

It is with heavy hearts and complete submission to the will of Allah (SWT) that we share the news of the passing of our beloved brother, Abdul Lateef, who returned to his Lord following a tragic car accident.

Abdul Lateef was a light in the lives of everyone he met. He was known for his kindness, his dedication to his faith, and his unwavering love for the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). While our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that we can continue his legacy of goodness.

A Tribute from His Friend, Harris J

To understand the character of the man we have lost, please read this tribute from his close friend, Harris J:

"Abdul Lateef was someone who loved Allah and his creation deeply. And there was no creation he loved more than the beloved prophet Muhammad SAW. He was the best kind of friend. One that would make you challenge yourself to do better in every way, but especially in the deen. The brotherhood and love he offered for me and so many others all these years deserves for us to honour him now more than ever. Here you can donate on his behalf, to sponsor orphans in Yemen, Lebanon and Pakistan. I know that if the roles were reversed he would be someone that would help to make this happen for another, so please find it in your heart to make even a small donation and say a small prayer for a very beloved brother of mine. May Allah honour him, accept all his good, forgive all his bad and unite him in his eternal gardens with his beloved SAW and all the rest of his loved ones."

The Cause: Supporting Orphans in His Name

As Harris mentioned, there was no one Abdul Lateef loved more than the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). The Prophet (SAW) said: "I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for him, will be in Paradise like this," putting his index and middle fingers together.

In honour of Abdul Lateef’s love for the Messenger of Allah, we are launching an Orphan Support Fund as a Sadaqah Jariyah on his behalf.
