IDM Sharpeville Orphanage Girls Home

Expansion & Support Campaign

Campaign Target: $37,550

Help Us Build a Safe, Dignified Future for Orphaned Girls (Ages 9–18)

The IDM Sharpeville Orphanage Girls Home, established in 2021, is a dedicated safe haven for young orphaned girls with no family support. These girls are zakaatable, vulnerable, and fully dependent on IDM for shelter, meals, education, Islamic upbringing, and emotional care.

Today, the orphanage urgently requires expansion and essential upgrades to continue giving these girls a secure, loving environment.

Your donation will help us transform their home into a space of safety, comfort, learning, and spiritual growth.

What Your Contribution Will Support

1. Dormitory Extensions & Beds

The current sleeping area is overcrowded.
We need to:

• Build additional dorm rooms
• Add bunk beds, mattresses, and bedding
• Install cupboards and storage for personal items

2. Study & Learning Area Development

To support their school and madressah education, we aim to create a proper:

• Study hall
• Desks & chairs
• Shelving and learning materials
• Quiet reading and homework zones

3. Prayer Area & Masjid Expansion

A spiritual environment is essential for their growth.
We plan to:

• Expand the existing prayer space
• Provide a safe, dedicated masjid area for daily salaah
• Equip the space with Qur’ans, shelves, and soft flooring

4. Kitchen & Laundry Upgrades

The home needs facilities that match the number of orphans we care for:

• Kitchen extension & storage
• Cooking pots, appliances, food shelves
• Laundry machines, washing areas & drying space

5. Furniture, Accessories & Daily Essentials

To ensure comfort, dignity, and stability:

• Clothing & hygiene packs
• Schoolbags, uniforms, stationery
• Madressah books & Islamic learning tools
• Basic furnishings and fittings

Why This Matters

At Sharpeville Orphanage, each girl receives:

• Daily meals
• Secure accommodation
• Schooling at local institutions
• Islamic education & activities every afternoon
• Care, mentorship, and emotional safety

Your support is Sadaqah Jariyah — a continuous charity that benefits you long after you are gone — and Zakat eligible.
