Patients are receiving treatment. Mothers have somewhere to give birth safely. Children can see a doctor. Families who had been left with very few options now have another place to turn for medical care.

Today, more than 2.1 million people in Gaza still rely on just 18 partially functioning hospitals. People continue to arrive needing emergency treatment, surgery, medicines, maternal care and paediatric services. The need for healthcare has not slowed, and neither can we.

A donation of £65 can help keep the hospital operating by funding medicines, medical supplies, oxygen, fuel and the doctors and nurses who care for patients every day.

A hospital needs more than walls.

Every day the hospital opens, medicines are used. Dressings are replaced. Oxygen is consumed. Fuel powers the generators. Equipment is maintained. New patients arrive needing treatment that cannot wait until tomorrow.

The basic infrastructure and the right people are in place. Now we have to keep it working.

According to our six month operational plan, medicines and medical consumables are the single largest ongoing expense, followed by staffing, fuel, logistics and oxygen supplies.

These are the things that allow doctors to treat patients while facing unimaginable hardship in Gaza.

Caring for thousands of patients.

The MATW Field Hospital was established to provide emergency care, maternal healthcare, paediatric treatment, surgery and inpatient recovery for vulnerable communities in Central Gaza.

At normal operating capacity, it is expected to treat between 5,000 and 9,000 patients over six months, including children, pregnant women and emergency cases.

Inside the hospital are consultation rooms, an operating theatre, a sterilisation unit, recovery beds, diagnostic equipment and essential medicines needed to care for patients every day.

With your support, the hospital can continue providing care to the families who need it most.
