Help us establish permanent masjid and madrasa in Tokyo Japan. Alhamdulillah, we have raised ¥45 million, including Qard Hasana, and we need another ¥45 million

Our Appeal

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh,

Darul Uloom Tokyo is a masjid and madrasa dedicated to serving Tokyo’s Muslim community. It provides a welcoming space for the five daily prayers, Qur’an memorization (Hifz), weekly Islamic reminders (Bayan), daily Ta’lim after Isha, community meals, and Islamic education for our children.

Alhamdulillah, through the generosity of our community, ¥45,000,000 has already been raised toward securing this property. The total amount required is ¥90,000,000, leaving ¥45,000,000 to be raised by December 18, 2026.

We humbly invite you to help us complete this important project. Every donation—large or small—brings us closer to preserving this masjid and madrasa as a place of worship, learning, and unity for our community and future generations of Muslims.

Please donate generously and share this campaign with your family, friends, and wider community.

May Allah accept your contribution as Sadaqah Jariyah, place immense barakah in it, and reward you abundantly in this life and the Hereafter.

JazakumAllahu Khairan.

The new building, which is six times larger than the current building.

The Need: Why We Need a Permanent Building

Our current masjid is severely overcrowded and can no longer adequately serve our growing Muslim community. Securing a permanent building will provide the space and facilities needed for the five daily prayers, Qur’an memorization (Hifz), Islamic education, community activities, and services for our children and families.

A permanent home will allow Darul Uloom Tokyo to continue serving our community and future generations of Muslims in a safe, stable, and welcoming environment.

Where We Stand

The total amount required to secure the property is ¥90,000,000. Alhamdulillah, our community has already raised ¥45,000,000, meaning we are halfway to our goal.

We must raise the remaining ¥45,000,000 by December 18, 2026, to complete the purchase. Every donation brings us one step closer to establishing a permanent home for worship, Islamic learning, and community life in Tokyo.

Madrasatul Muslimah - Katsushika-ku ,Tokyo

Madrasatul Muslimah, our separately operated girls’ madrasa in Tokyo.

Our Wider Educational Work: Madrasatul Muslimah Girls’ Madrasa

In addition to Darul Uloom Tokyo Masjid and Madrasa, we operate Madrasatul Muslimah, a dedicated girls’ madrasa located in a separate rented facility. The madrasa currently serves more than 20 female students and is staffed entirely by qualified female teachers.

Alhamdulillah, Madrasatul Muslimah has produced seven Hafizas who have successfully memorized the entire Holy Qur’an. They now support Muslim sisters in the community through Da’wah, Qur’an education, Ta’lim, encouragement in Salah, regular Qur’an recitation, and other beneficial Islamic activities.

Students receive a well-rounded education combining Islamic studies with core academic subjects. English, Mathematics, Science, and Geography are taught in English, while Bangla, Japanese, and Arabic are offered as additional languages.

Please note that Madrasatul Muslimah is not included in this property purchase. All funds raised through this campaign will be used specifically to secure a permanent property for Darul Uloom Tokyo Masjid and Madrasa.

Darul Uloom Tokyo Masjid and Madrasa, Japan

Our dedicated Imams provide the spiritual, educational, and community leadership behind Darul Uloom Tokyo. They lead the five daily congregational prayers, deliver Jumu’ah Khutbahs, teach Qur’an and Islamic studies, provide religious guidance, conduct Da’wah activities, and oversee the daily services of the masjid and madrasa.

With the support of qualified teachers and committed community members, they have helped transform a small prayer space into a thriving centre of worship, Islamic learning, and community service. Today, Darul Uloom Tokyo serves more than 40 students and hundreds of worshippers. Alhamdulillah, more than six boys have completed Hifz-ul-Qur’an through the madrasa, with graduates continuing to serve Muslim communities in Japan and pursue higher Islamic education overseas.

Our growing community has now outgrown the existing building. Under the guidance of our Imams and community leaders, we are working to secure a permanent home where worship, Qur’an education, Da’wah, and essential community services can flourish for generations.

Your support will help turn this vision into a lasting legacy for Muslims in Tokyo and across Japan.
