I am taking part in a sponsored trek through the Peak District to help raise funds for a truly worthy cause. 

As you are aware, the people of Yemen have been facing truly monumental challenges for many years now. Internal conflict has lead to great instability in the region which has made it extremely difficult for people to obtain basic supplies. 

Right now, there are over 600,000 children in Yemen who are malnourished, because they are unable to access any food. 

If these children do not receive treatment, they will starve to death. 

There are millions of families in Yemen who are living in poverty and unable to obtain any food. If we do not provide these families with food, we will see the number of people dying due to starvation increase. 

Yemen also suffers from a water crisis, many people are drinking contaminated water which makes them sick and in many cases can lead to death. This is why it's also important that we provide people with water wells and access to clean water.
