About Lighthouse Mosque

When I became apart of Lighthouse Mosque shortly after it was opened in 2008, I quickly became aware that something special is taking place here. It more than makes up for it small size and minimal resources with sincere effort and dedication. It is a source of comfort in troubled times and stands up for justice from Oakland to Gaza. Lighthouse Mosque has an empowered sisterhood that is represented for all decision making. It also continues to prepare Muslim youth for leadership roles and the one thing you hear over and over is “someone is here to take Shahada“. All this is being done with the help of Allah may He be praised and glorified. We are reaching out to you to support us in our efforts. With your donation of any size we pray that you will share in our Success in this world and in the hereafter. When your book of deeds are laid out you will see rewards for service to the underserved and overlooked believers that stems from your support of Lighthouse Mosque.

Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: “Whoever relieves a Muslim of a burden from the burdens of the world, Allah will relieve him of a burden from the burdens on the Day of Judgement. And whoever helps ease a difficulty in the world, Allah will grant him ease from a difficulty in the world and in the Hereafter. And whoever covers (the faults of) a Muslim, Allah will cover (his faults) for him in the world and the Hereafter. And Allah is engaged in helping the worshipper as long as the worshipper is engaged in helping his brother.” - Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1930, Book 27, Hadith 36
