We must raise the remaining $500,000 of the $2.05 million purchase cost within the month of May, 2025 to finalize the acquisition

Alhamdulillah, the Islamic Community Center of Lancaster is under contract to purchase a beautiful property in Lancaster, PA, located next to a major highway. This professional building is set to become the first Grand Masjid for Lancaster County and the surrounding areas, InshaaAllah.

Lancaster, a city known for welcoming people from around the world, also holds historical significance for publishing one of the earliest English translations of the Qur'an in 1835. This reflects the early presence of the Muslim faith in American society. Recently, this historical copy was procured from an antique auction in England and is now on display at the Lancaster History Museum.

Today, the growing Muslim population of Lancaster urgently needs its own space for worship and community services. We must raise the remaining $500,000 of the $2 million purchase cost within the next month of May, 2025 to finalize the acquisition. Your contribution, no matter the amount, will help us meet this goal and establish a vital center for our community.
In many cities, the opportunity to help establish a masjid has already passed, as several masajid exist. This is a rare, truly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Sadaqah Jariyah—a continuous charity for generations to come. Donate today and be part of establishing a lasting House of Allah in Lancaster.

"Never will you attain righteousness until you spend from that which you love. And whatever you spend – indeed, Allah is Knowing of it." Surah Al-Imran (3:92)

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) "Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house like it in Paradise.— [Bukhari & Muslim]

Here are few reasons for helping us purchasing the property for establishment of the Islamic center at Lancaster Pennsylvania:

  1. A Spiritual Home for Muslims: A large Islamic center would provide a spiritual sanctuary for Muslims in Lancaster County—a place to pray, learn, grow, and feel connected to their faith. It would be a second home, especially for youth and new Muslims who need guidance and community.
  2. Education and Youth Development: With classroom spaces and programs, the center can offer Islamic education, Arabic language courses, Quran classes, and leadership training for youth. This fosters strong moral character and a sense of identity among young Muslims.
  3. Promoting Unity and Belonging: A large center can serve as a hub to unite a diverse Muslim population from different backgrounds—creating stronger ties, building friendships, and offering support systems for individuals and families.
  4. Interfaith and Community Outreach: An Islamic center isn’t just for Muslims—it can be a bridge to the broader Lancaster community. Hosting interfaith events, open houses, and social services promotes understanding, peace, and cooperation among all faiths and backgrounds.
  5. Support Services for All: A larger space allows for more resources: food drives, mental health support, marriage and family counseling, funeral services, and more. It empowers the community to care for its own and to help others in need.
  6. A Vision for the Future: As Lancaster continues to grow, so does its Muslim population. A large Islamic center reflects a vision that prepares for future generations—a legacy of faith, service, and community development.
  7. Economic and Social Contribution: A well-run Islamic center can generate jobs, attract visitors, and encourage civic engagement. It shows that Muslims are invested in the wellbeing and prosperity of Lancaster County.
  8. A Symbol of Faith and Presence: A visible, welcoming center represents the presence, contributions, and permanence of Muslims in Lancaster. It’s a statement that says: We are here, we care, and we are part of this community.
