As Salaamu Alaikum! Neither poverty or the practice of Islam are seasonal and with the right aid, assistance, and process, we find tremendous personal growth and development in an individual. Since April 2010, our organization “Huma-Faith” has provided Community/Transitional Housing for the most vulnerable populations struct by poverty and disfranchisement largely in part due to their being Muslim. We are introducing one of our projects called the “Suffa House” – a refuge for Muslim Men (mostly reverts) seeking their dignity, new start, and space to become the best Muslims they can be to which the by-product is a Stronger Community of Good Men (e.g., Good Leaders, Good Fathers, Good Husbands, etc.) but must first overcome one or all the following:

• Poverty while seeking employment and/or careers
• Loss of jobs, homes, family, etc., 
• Reverts disfranchised from non-Muslim family for simply choosing to practice Islam
• Reverts to Islam during a period of incarceration and are either disfranchised or refusing to return to the virulent neighborhoods that gave effect to their incarceration

With all the costs of utilities and common amenities, we house our brothers in a Middle-Class Neighborhood just 1.1 mile from one of the largest Masjid in the DFW and .9 mile from a smaller one to ensure their religious education and spiritual growth and development; Alhamdulillah! However, championing expenses need the entire community to be successful.  In addition, we provide and/or partner with agencies for the following:

• Access to Social Services
• Access to Food
• Access to Medical Care/Services
• Access/Acceptance in the Ummah
• Access to Religious Education & Spiritual Counseling
