This year, McMaster MSA President Waleed will be traveling to Jordan to provide direct aid to Palestinian and Gazan refugees. Through the HCI Discovery Program, he will be packing food, visiting refugee camps, and supporting orphans— but first, he needs to raise $7,000 to make it happen! Your support and generosity will bring him one step closer to making this mission possible. Through this campaign, every dollar you donate will go directly to making a difference on the ground.

Approximately 19,000 Palestinian children have lost one or both parents due to the ongoing genocide, leaving them vulnerable and in urgent need of care. Your donation will help provide essential aid to Palestinian refugees in Jordan, over 2 million of whom are living in challenging conditions, with a significant portion being children and orphans.

Throughout the Quran and Sunnah, we are reminded of the immense rewards of caring for orphans. Supporting them is an act of compassion and, ultimately, a means of attaining closeness to Allah SWT — it is a responsibility we must uphold as an ummah. Our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “‘I and the one who sponsors an orphan shall be in Paradise like these two’—and he raised his index finger and the one next to it, holding them together, barely separate” (Bukhari, No. 5304). As charity is one of the core pillars of Islam, we strive to help the millions of children around the world who have lost their parents and are in need of support. We can help make a real difference in their lives, with YOUR support.

McMaster OSP has partnered with Human Concern International over the past year to continue an eight-year-long mission to provide essential care to orphans in need. As one of the largest student-led fundraising initiatives on campus, this success is only possible through Allah and the generosity of countless students and community members.

With your help, we can continue our mission—and for the first time, have the opportunity to be on the ground, directly aiding in relief efforts. Donate today and make a lasting impact on the lives of Palestinian and Gazan orphans.
