Two decades of negative stereotypes have created fear and hatred. The image of Muslims seen in the mainstream media is a negative one. Stories of global terror, political conflict, and sectarianism are all familiar narratives that have entered the public consciousness. This creates a distorted image of what Islam and Muslims are about. It has led to a rise in anti-Muslim sentiment and has had an impact on young Muslims, fuelling issues of identity and low self-esteem. ​

The result is Alchemiya.com, an online video on demand service offering entertaining, educational content about the positive contribution Islam has made to global civilisation. It's an opportunity to take pride in everything good that our religion has created, and for the next generation to feel secure about their heritage. It’s also a chance to share what we love about Islam with our non- Muslim friends and neighbours.

We are going to increase our library from 50 titles to 500 and the money you donate will make that happen. Our vision is for Alchemiya to become the video service of choice for anyone wanting to learn about the Muslim world. We have located a range of movies, TV shows, kids programmes, documentaries, shorts and lifestyle content that we will add to our library. We have secured funding to produce Alchemiya originals and this summer will begin work on original new programming. By 2020 we will offer 2,000 titles, many of them new and exclusive to Alchemiya. 

To express our gratitude for your support, you will get a 2 YEAR PASS to Alchemiya allowing access to our full library of movies, documentaries and content. As soon as we receive the funds from this campaign we will begin to upload new titles on a regular basis, allowing you to watch this content as we grow the library. Our top categories are drama, movies, travel, heritage, art, children's programmes and food.
