8 for Aid is aiming to raise a target of RM 25,000 to provide assistance across Malaysia, especially the states of Selangor, Pahang, Terengganu, Kelantan, Johor and Sabah with a target of helping flood victims that have not been accessed to. Moreover, we will be providing food packs, hygiene kits and cleaning tools for the relief and recovery phase of the flood disaster. 

Malaysia has been experiencing heavy rainfall and massive flash floods which have severely affected Selangor and Pahang since 18 December 2021. It has brought to our attention that electricity and food supply have been cut off due to road closure as it is impassable due the flood. 

Although thousands have been able to evacuate in the last two days, there are still more people left stranded on the top of their roofs, trees or any point of high ground they could possibly find. Families with small children, ailing parents and elderlies are in dire need of our help. They are hungry, cold and emotionally distressed. 

8 for Aid is launching a campaign to assist those in need of help throughout the monsoon season which may last up to February 2022. All types of contribution made will be channeled to the communities of those affected areas in regards to #DaruratBanjir campaigns.
