Help Us Establish the First Uyghur Islamic Center in the US

Assalamu alaikum,

In the face of unprecedented challenges and oppression, we, the Uyghur-American community, have come together to create a sanctuary for our faith and culture: the Uyghur Islamic Center (UIC) in Fairfax, Virginia.

Background:

In East Turkistan, our brothers and sisters endure the demolition of mosques, imprisonment, and the prohibition of Islam by the Chinese government. 

For over three decades, the Uyghur community in the United States has yearned for a place of worship and community.

Our Initiative:

Alhamdulillah, on the first day of Ramadan in 2022, we opened the UIC - a vital space for us to freely practice our religion and celebrate our heritage in this historic time of diaspora.

Current Situation:

We are currently renting a space comprising two units with a total area of 4000 square feet, including a Musalla and an activity room. This property, previously utilized by Muslim communities including the local Turkish community and Adam’s Center, has become a hub for us to come together for prayers, iftar, and community programs.

Our Mission:

The UIC is more than a place of worship. It is a center for Islamic studies, community service, and charitable initiatives. We are dedicated to fostering partnerships with local Muslim and non-Muslim communities, promoting dialogue, and serving humanity.

Your Support:

We are currently seeking to establish a permanent location to better serve our community's needs. We have recently signed an offer to purchase a 14-acre land for this purpose, but fundraising remains a significant challenge due to the limited size of our community. As Uyghur-Americans, we cannot fund the UIC alone. We humbly request your support during this holy month of Ramadan to help us secure a permanent place of worship.

رامزاننىڭ 1-كۈنى كۆچۈپ كىرگەندىن باشلاپ، ئەتراپتىكى ئۇيغۇرلار ۋە باشقا جامائەتلەر ھەر كۈنى بەش ۋاخ ناماز ، جۈمە نامىزى ، ئىپتار ۋە تاراۋى نامازلىرى ئۈچۈن  ئىشلىتىشكە باشلىدى..

ئىجارىگە ئالغان ئىككى يىلدىن  بېرى بۇ ئورۇن ئۇيغۇرلارنىڭ دىنىنى ئۆگنىدىغان، ھەر خىل جامائەت پائالىيەتلىرى ۋە مۇلازىمەتلىرى بىلەن ئاۋاتلاشقان مەركەزگە ئايلاندى. ھەر خىل لېكسىيە، مەھەللە مۇلازىمىتى، خەير-ساخاۋەت ئىشلىرى ۋە يەرلىك مۇسۇلمانلار ۋە غەيرى مۇسۇلمانلار جەمئىيىتى بىلەن ھەمكارلىشىش قاتارلىق ھەر تۈرلۈك پروگراممىلارنى يولغا قويۇلدى.

بىز بۇ ئورۇنغا ئېرىشكەنلىكىمىزدىن تولىمۇ مىننەتدارمىز، چۈنكى بۇ يەردىكى ئۇيغۇر جامائىتىنىڭ تۇنجى قېتىم بىرلىكتە دۇئا-تىلاۋەت قىلىشى ۋە مەدەنىيەتنى تەبرىكلىشى ھېسابلىنىدۇ. بىز قىسقا ۋاقىت ئىچىدە ئۇيغۇر ئىسلام مەركىزىگە كېلىۋاتقان ئەتراپتىكى ئۇيغۇر جامائىتىنىڭ ۋە باشقا مۇسۇلمانلارنىڭ كۆپىيىۋاتقانلىقىنى كۆرۈۋاتىمىز. بىز قولىمىزدىن كېلىشىچە جامائەت ئۈچۈن خىزمەت قىلىشنى ئىستەيمىز. 

جامائەت ئېھتياجى ۋە كەلگۈسىنى كۆزدە تۇتۇپ يېقىندا 14 ئېيكىر (85 مو) كېلىدىغان يەرنى سېتىۋېلىش ئۈچۈن توختاملىشىلدى. بۇ ئەتراپتىكى ئۇيغۇرلارنىڭ نوپۇسى ناھايىتى ئاز بولغاچقا، ئورۇننى سېتىۋېلىشقا كېرەك بولىدىغان مەبلەغنى توپلاشتا سىزلەرنىڭ ياردىمىگە موھتـاجمىز - سىزلەرنىڭ بىزنى ئىقتىسادى جەھەتتىن قوللىشىڭىزلارنى ۋە ئامېرىكىدىكى تۇنجى ئۇيغۇر ئىسلام مەركىزىنىڭ قۇرۇلۇشى ئۈچۈن ياردەم قىلىشىڭىزنى سورايمىز
