Hull mosque has been able to complete phase one of its critical maintenance work and upgrades. May Allah grant you all success from those who supported this work and reward you in this life and the next. Ameen. 

We are now in the planning of phase 2 works, which involves TWO  critical areas of renovation.

These two ares are:

1. Wudu Area 

The Wudu area has long been in need of repair and refurbishment and can only be done with the help of our community who recognise the importance of providing worshippers a clean area for washing/ablution and the huge rewards that come with providing such facilities. 

Allah says in the QUR'AN 2:222 "For Allah loves those who turn to Him constantly and He loves those who keep themselves pure and clean." 

The Prophet PBUH states cleanliness is also half of faith (Sahih Muslim 223). 

The work itself: 90 square metres of tiles to be replaced, floor levelling, new basins with all new taps as well as toilets. There will also be additional  hand dryers. 

2. Windows:

To compliment the previous work done to improve energy efficiency within the mosque, it's now critical to fully capitalise on this by replacing the windows.  This will ensure no excess heat loss occurs and we can fully benefit with keeping the energy bills at a minimum for the future; furthermore, this complies with modern regulations in accordance with communal buildings.  The windows throughout the building are not energy efficient, losing heat with single glaze glass and inefficient fittings, dated over 30 years old.  

This is not only an investment for the masjid but the investment of a continuous reward of sadaqah jariyah for all of us. 

The total cost of this phase is circa £30,000. however we will be raising further funds offline.  For this page, we are aiming to raise at least £15,000 insha'Allah
