The Rivers of Hope Collective is a grassroots organization led by young Muslim change-makers who are challenging Islamophobia through education and the arts. This past year, we developed a dynamic workshop on Islamophobia, gendered Islamophobia, and anti-Black racism, which we shared in high school classrooms across the Greater Toronto Area. Next year, we want to expand our reach and develop a workshop for elementary school students, while continuing our work in high schools.

This $10,000 goal will help us:

• ​Host a full day in-person training for 20 facilitators on how to run the high school and elementary school anti-Islamophobia workshops 
• Provide an honorarium to each of the facilitators for each of the workshops they facilitate (we aim to facilitate at least 20 workshops)
• Enhance our website so it can become a hub of free educational materials on Islamophobia for teachers, students, and community members
