Fundraising for Afghan Victims

“Please give me some water, I am burning” are words we heard from an Afghan asylum seeker burned. Children Without Borders is horrified by the recent incident of 14 Afghan asylum seekers that were burned. These innocent civilians had left to find work under terrible conditions, away from their loved ones, to earn some money to feed their children and families. While they never made it to work, they were burned alive after police opened fire on their car as a result of which 3 of them died and 8 who are badly injured.

This is a matter of human rights, of discrimination, and of obvious racism. We want you to join us in helping these victims and their families. CWB has identified the victims’ families who live in extreme poverty and uncertainty. Our volunteers in Afghanistan have met them and we are able to deliver every single cent you donate to this noble cause.

The money you will donate will help with the cost of their funeral expenses, the immediate medical care of those severely injured, as well as raising funds for the families of the victims who are residing in Faryab, Afghanistan. We encourage you to remember their innocent children and their needs too.

While you make a donation to help we also encourage you to ask for justice through social media pushing for accountability. Afghan refugees have tolerated all inequalities, we count on your support to stand for this one as well.

Donate to give these refugees the water they asked for. Make a difference in their lives. Share this with all your friends and family.

For any questions, please contact CWB at: info@childrenwithoutborders.ca
All funds collected will be sent to Afghanistan.

In Solidarity with the Afghan nation,

The Story of Esa Khan’s Family

Esa Khan, one of the victims of the Afghan Asylum Attack in Iran that was burnt to death in the city Yazd. The purpose of his travel was to seek employment and financially help his family that has been living below poverty for decades. Esa Khan was an orphan himself spent most of his childhood and adulthood living below poverty and going to bed with an empty stomach.

Two years ago, he started a family of his own and married his wife. Shortly after, he became father a little boy who completed his world. Unable to provide for his family of three, Esa Khan tried to seek refuge in Iran so he can provide better living conditions for his family and also to ensure that his family doesn’t endure what he did. Little did he know that his decision would leave his wife a widow and his child an orphan.

Esa Khan leaves behind a young wife and his son along with his mother. His mother has been devastated with the sudden loss of his son. With the family’s current condition and without a breadwinner, they are living in a one bedroom shared place with three other families.

These are the beneficiaries that will be receiving the funds raised from this campaign. We cannot bring Esa khan back but we can definitely ensure to change his hope of giving his family a new beginning into a reality. Please donate generously!

Distribution for 6 Families of the Afghan Asylum Attack

“Please bring me water. I’m burning.” are the cries of Shaheed Hikmatullah that is still being echoed in his widow mother's ears. During his last hours, he begged the pedestrians for water after he was severely burnt in the city of Yazd, Iran.

At the age of 13, Hikmat’s father passed away leaving him with the burden of providing for his young widowed mother and 4 siblings. They live in a rural area in Faryab in the district of Qaisar. Despite working long hours and doing physical labour, Hikmat was still unable to bring a full meal to their table, which resulted in them going deeper in debt. With debtors knocking on their door daily and not having ends meet, Hikmat saw no other option but to take off to Iran with his cousin Lutfullah to find a job so he can pay their loans and provide for his family.

Unfortunately, Hikmat’s life was cut short and leaving his cousin fighting for his life. Hikmat is survived by his young widowed mother (36 yrs-old) and 4 siblings. His cousin, Lutfullah, continues to be in the ICU and is fighting for his life. Hikmat’s mother is not only to mourn for his eldest son’s untimely death, but with huge loans and no source of income. Similar to Hikmat, all these families live below poverty and have either lost their breadwinners or are currently handcuffed to their beds in Iran.

To provide some financial relief, CWB delivered $100.00 per family on June 9, 2020. Funds raised through this campaign will be equally divided among the families of the injured/martyrs. These families have been deprived of their rights, however, jointly we can ease their financial burden by donating today:
